Dessin d'après modèle vivant | Life Drawing

Social Vitality Club — Life Drawing Program
The Life Drawing component of the Social Vitality Club reframes the studio as a structured space for embodied artistic practice and collective presence. The program moves beyond technical draftsmanship to explore drawing as a live, relational study of human form, attention, and perception.
Each session is designed as a guided progression that supports focus, observation, and skill development through sustained engagement with a live model.
Session Structure:
Warm-up phase: Rapid gesture drawing (30 seconds – 1 minute poses) to develop responsiveness and observational speed.
Transition phase: Medium-duration studies (3–5 minute poses) to build compositional awareness and structural understanding.
Deep study phase: Extended observation (20–30 minute sustained poses) to support detail, refinement, and immersive artistic focus.
Program Objectives:
Strengthen observational and technical drawing skills across experience levels
Support embodied attention and sustained focus in artistic practice
Create a shared studio environment that fosters artistic exchange and peer learning
Provide accessible, structured life drawing sessions for emerging and practicing artists

Club Social Vitality — Programme de dessin d'après modèle vivant
Le volet « dessin d'après modèle vivant » du Club Social Vitality redéfinit l'atelier comme un espace structuré dédié à la pratique artistique incarnée et à la présence collective. Le programme va au-delà du dessin technique pour explorer le dessin comme une étude vivante et relationnelle de la forme humaine, de l'attention et de la perception.
Chaque séance est conçue comme un parcours guidé qui favorise la concentration, l'observation et le développement des compétences grâce à un engagement soutenu avec un modèle vivant.
Structure de la séance :
Phase d'échauffement : dessin rapide de gestes (poses de 30 secondes à 1 minute) pour développer la réactivité et la vitesse d'observation.
Phase de transition : études de durée moyenne (poses de 3 à 5 minutes) pour développer la conscience de la composition et la compréhension structurelle.
Phase d'étude approfondie : observation prolongée (poses soutenues de 20 à 30 minutes) pour favoriser le détail, le raffinement et une concentration artistique immersive.

Rather than treating carbon as a static accounting metric, the program reframes it as part of a dynamic, living system—where soil plays a central role in planetary stability and resilience.The focus moves beyond simplified “emissions vs. offsets” frameworks to develop a grounded understanding of ecological function, risk, and solution quality in climate-related decision-making.Program Objectives
Participants will learn to:1. Understand Carbon Systems
Map how carbon circulates through the atmosphere, biomass, and soil, and understand its role as a dynamic ecological cycle rather than a static metric.2. Evaluate Climate Solutions Critically:

As Sustainability Associate and Carbon, Soil, and Systems Program Manager, Deniz leads LNDV’s Climate Literacy programs.A Soil Science MSc with extensive experience working with United Nations biodiversity and climate change programs and frameworks, including the Convention on Biological Diversity, Deniz’s professional path is underpinned by a sustained commitment to nature-based solutions to climate change that protect biodiversity, advance sustainable development and catalyze transformative change.With a background in both ecology and international regulatory compliance, Deniz is passionate about translating complex science and regulatory frameworks into actionable insights for individuals, communities, companies and non-profits. Her ultimate goal is to build the capacity of organizations to critically assess their environmental dependencies and risks, which are necessary for nature-related financial disclosures, risk mitigation, and ESG reporting.Currently, Deniz is overseeing the Strategic Transition Phase for La Doga & Karu, managing the organization's cross-border expansion to Istanbul.

Karan approaches Doga & Karu as both an artistic and a system of social inquiry, bringing a forensic lens to the exploration of human and ecological relationships. His work is rooted in observing and engaging with the often-invisible structures that shape how people connect, communicate, and exist within shared environments.
Drawing on the arts, quantum physics, other experiences, and close observation, his practice moves beyond traditional art-making to reveal the underlying dynamics of trust, isolation, and collective behaviour.
At the same time, he is expanding into ecological systems, examining carbon, soil, and environmental processes with the same rigour applied to social structures.
By bridging art, social architecture, and climate literacy, he is building Doga & Karu as a space where both human connection and ecosystem awareness are not abstract ideas, but lived, observable, and continuously evolving realities.

The Biodiversity Collage (La Fresque de la Biodiversité) is a fun, collaborative workshop designed to raise awareness about biodiversity-related issues.
During the workshop, you will explore how ecosystems function, the role biodiversity plays in sustaining humanity, the interactions with human activities, and the threats posed by biodiversity loss.This workshop will take place online using a video conferencing tool (Zoom) and a visual collaboration tool (MURAL). Participation therefore requires a computer equipped with a microphone.Connection details will be sent via email prior to the workshop.Total Duration: 3 hours15 min: Concept presentation + icebreaker + getting familiar with the MURAL tool
